Each year, these Leadership Racine projects impact our community.  Here is a list of the projects that have carried on and remain sustainable in the Racine community after their initial implementation:

> In 2003, the RecreAction team wanted to bring more people to North Beach. This team partnered with other community volunteers to build the Kids Cove Playground which provides hours of fun to children at North Beach.

> What's Wright in Racine started as a class project in 2004. The program provides curriculum for area school children about Frank Lloyd Wright which includes a video, shown at the Golden Rondelle, about his life and projects.

> In 2003, the That's Entertainment team started Music on the Monument which provides free musical entertainment during the lunch hour on Fridays in the summer at Monument Square.

> Jammin' for the Arts has continued to raise funds each year for the arts in the Racine community.  First started as a class project in 2005, the team worked with Racine United Arts Fund and raised $10,000 for community art projects specific to children.

> The Operation Military Kids project, started in 2007, was picked up by UW-Parkside and continues to support military families while family members are serving in the armed forces.

> Room to Grow is an education room built for kids at HALO (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization).  Started in 2007, it is used daily and continues to be kept up-to-date.

> In 2007, the Downtown 7 team placed historical factoids along the Lake Michigan Pathway for residents and visitors to read about key people and events in the Racine community.  The plaques and statues can be purchased through the Racine Heritage Museum.

> In 2008, the Well City Starters established a program to promote and encourage workplace wellness. The goal is to have Racine apply for a Well City Designation. A task force was created and will keep this project on-going for at least the next three years.

> In 2008, the Pathfinders group created a map and placed signage on the Root River (north of the dam) to bring increased awareness to the river's recreational use. These promotional items will continue to direct canoes from Linwood Park to the River Bend Nature Center.

> Another Root River related project was done in 2008 by the Sustainables group. To increase environmental educational opportunities for urban youth, they had an event to introduce the Root River Environmental Education Community Center (REC). The REC, on 6th Street, will continue to offer bicycling, fishing and ecological information to the community.
