Each year, Leadership Racine projects impact our community.  Here is a list of projects that have carried on after the initial implementation:

 

-Music on the Monument provides musical entertainment during the lunch hour on Fridays in the summer in Monument Square.

 

-Jammin' for the Arts is in its third year raisng funds for the arts in the Racine community.  In 2005, a team worked with Racine United Arts Fund and raised $10,000 for community art projects specific to children.

 

-RecreAction wanted to bring more people to North Beach.  This team partnered with other community volunteers to build the Kids Cove Playground.

 

-What's in Racine provides curriculum for area school children about Frank Lloyd Wright to include a video about his life and projects that is shown at the Golden Rondelle.

 

-The Operation Military Families project has been picked up by UW-Parkside and continues to support military families while family members are serving in the armed forces.

 

-Room to Grow is an education room built for kids at HALO (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization).  It is used daily and continues to be kept up-to-date.

 

-The Downtown 7 team placed historical factoids along the Lake Michigan pathway for residents and visitors to read about key people and events in the Racine community.  The plaques and statues can be purchased through the Heritage Museum.
